SolarWinds (SWI) Stock Profile Summary
SolarWinds, Inc. designs, develops, markets, and supports enterprise information technology management software to information technology (IT) professionals. The company offers free tools, including desktop, laptop, or server-based applications designed for use by individual IT professionals focused on a single network or infrastructure management task; tools for engineers comprising desktop-based and laptop-based applications for individuals who need specific solutions for routine and complicated tasks; and for engineers, such as individual tools and toolsets that combine powerful tools together into a single package. SolarWinds also provides ipMonitor, a server-based network, server, and application monitoring system. In addition, the company offers enterprise-class network and IT management products consisting of Orion Network Performance Monitor (Orion NPM), a server-based fault and performance management platform; Orion modules, a series of add-ons to Orion NPM that extend its network management capabilities; and Orion Network Configuration Manager, a server-based product that automates the processes of network device discovery, network inventory management, and network change management. Its enterprise-class network and IT management products also comprise Orion Scalability Engine that increase the scale of Orion NPMs monitoring capabilities; Orion Enterprise Operations Console, a server-based product that provides summarized Web-based views of multiple Orion instances; Storage Profiler, a server-based product that combines reporting, monitoring, and notification for storage resources; and Virtual Profiler, a server-based product to maximize availability, track system configurations, and manage the utilization of virtualized server infrastructures. The companys customers include small and mid-size businesses; enterprises; and local, state, and federal government entities. SolarWinds was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
