American River Bankshares operates as the holding company for American River Bank that provides commercial banking services for small to mid-sized businesses in California. It offers checking and savings deposits, money market deposit accounts, and certificates of deposits; secured and unsecured commercial, secured real estate, and other installment and term loans; and other customary banking services. In addition, the company conducts lease financing for various types of business equipment, from computer software to heavy earth-moving equipment. As of December 31, 2009, it operated five full service offices in Sacramento and Placer counties; two full service offices under the North Coast Bank name in Sonoma County; and three full service banking offices under Bank of Amador name in Amador County. American River Bankshares was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Rancho Cordova, California.
